TRAVEL AND LOGISTICS
Everingham Park is rural and remote: limited signal, more sheep than people. Do book accommodation in advance. Uber does technically work in Everingham, but should not be gambled on, 5 pints deep, tie-on-head at midnight. Here are some great places to stay and—aye up lad—some reliable Yorkshire taxi companies.
By Air
The nearest airports are Leeds Bradford (LBA), about an hour's drive, and Manchester (MAN), about two hours — Manchester is the best bet for long-haul flights. From either, the easiest onward route is to train it to York and taxi the last stretch. Car hire also good.
By Train
York is your nearest major station — roughly 15 miles from Everingham and well connected to London King's Cross (2 hours), Edinburgh, Leeds, and most of the country. You'll need a taxi or a lift from York to the venue.
By Car
There is parking on site at Everingham Park. Head for the A1079 and follow signs toward Pocklington — from there it's a short hop south through the lanes. Look for balloons.
